1997 - A Tender Heart

Mama, Karen and Bo traveled to Georgia for her to participate in a childhood friend's wedding.  It was another Christmas wedding where Karen wore green.  Karen is in college.  As the years continue, Karen learned that sometimes our mom gave us answers to make us happy.  Mama always had an answer - for everything!!  Now as a mom, I understand. I just wish I was as creative as she was and even is as she answers questions, especially questions from Bryce.  Karen has always loved animals - cute, furry and feathery. In GA, our neighbors were being mean in training their dogs, and Karen was insistent that mama go over to talk to them.  Karen was in tears. When we were younger, she saw a bird who was being eaten by a snake.  She asked mama what it was.  Mama told her it was a snake that had feathers....  She did this out of the goodness of her heart to protect Karen because she knew she would cry otherwise.  It wasn't until later that Karen learned different.

"And God said, “Let the waters swarm with swarms of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the expanse of the heavens.” 21 So God created the great sea creatures and every living creature that moves, with which the waters swarm, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. 22 And God blessed them, saying, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth.” 23 And there was evening and there was morning, the fifth day.
24 And God said, “Let the earth bring forth living creatures according to their kinds—livestock and creeping things and beasts of the earth according to their kinds.” And it was so. 25 And God made the beasts of the earth according to their kinds and the livestock according to their kinds, and everything that creeps on the ground according to its kind. And God saw that it was good." Gen. 1:20-25
